Topsy Ojo
Our latest Ambassador Topsy Ojo currently plays for London Irish and England. The winger is one of the fastest players in the Rugby Premier League. This speed is attributed to Topsy combining rugby and athletics with great success while at Dartford Grammar School. Topsy represented his school through all age groups and captained the 1st XV. He also represented Kent and London & South-East Schools at both U16 and U18.
After joining the London Irish Academy in July 2003, Topsy made his first team debut against Bristol in September 2005 and is now an established member of a talented London Irish backline, making over 100 senior appearances and scoring 40 tries. The most memorable being the two against Toulouse in the Heineken Cup semi-final in 2008.
Topsy made his full England debut in 2008 in New Zealand and marked the occassion with 2 outstanding tries. For one of the tries Topsy intercepted an All Blacks pass deep in his own half and ran the length of the pitch through the New Zealand team before touching down under the posts.
Topsy was a member of the 2006 Grand Slam winning England U21 squad, playing in four of England’s five matches, notching up a record four tries in their 48-3 victory over Italy.
